On April 20, 2003, Apostle H. Daniel Wilson confirmed Elder Samuel Sams as the Pastor and Shepherd of New Birth Kingdom Ministries International. It all began with a small group of 12 worshippers coming together in the community of Englewood on 67th and Halsted declaring “We’re in the Wood to do some Good”. And good…we did do! Operation JERICHO, Back to School Fairs, Thanksgiving Blessing Day, growing our Bible Study-The Quest for Knowledge and so much more.
From 67th Street to 71st Street was a new chapter in the history of New Birth. In 2009, our very first worship took place in the new tabernacle. It was a grand display of God’s miracle and Pastor Sams’ faith. The Master’s hand continues to rest on our glorious tabernacle which is a place of true worship.
We continue to stand on His promises to lead us as we help those who are in need of economic and social lifting. We are on a mission to educate His people about health, finances and general well-being, while simultaneously implementing the vision given to Pastor Sams. The restoration of the community of Englewood to a thriving neighborhood is both personal and God-breathed for our leader. Our partnerships continue to expand through Anew: Building Beyond Violence and Abuse, the seniors at the Flannery Building and Vincennes Center as well as working with newly elected officials to raise issues that concern the residents. The work is far beyond these walls!
Our greatest endeavor is sharing the Kingdom message of salvation to those who don’t know Him. Evangelism will always be who we are and what we do!
